Doom (stylised as DOOM) is a science fiction horror first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks.
The game is played entirely from a first-person perspective, with players' taking the role of an unnamed marine, as he battles demonic forces from Hell that have been unleashed by the Union Aerospace Corporation on a future-set colonised planet Mars. The game supports an online multiplayer component and a level editor known as "SnapMap".[1]
