Michael McDonald (or Michael MacDonald, correct spelling not known) is an avid listener and recurring joke on the YoGPoD. The joke came about in YoGPoD 32: "I am Michael MacDonald and I listen to the YoGPoD all day" when Simon and Lewis were listening to fan intros to the podcast. One of the mentioned introductions was a man saying "I am Michael MacDonald and I listen to the YoGPoD all day!" in a shrill singing-voice. Simon proceeded to play "I am Michael MacDonald and I listen to the YoGPoD all day!" over-and-over. It remains unknown who exactly Michael MacDonald/McDonald actually is. While some fans say that it may be one of the recorder's friends or an inside joke, others speculate that he may have been referring to American rock singer-songwriter Michael McDonald (pictured right).
