Spore is a 2008 single-player game developed by Maxis and designed by Will Wright. The game was released for Windows and Mac OS X.
Spore allows a player to control the development of a species from its beginnings as a microscopic organism, through development as an intelligent and social creature, to interstellar exploration as a spacefaring empire. Spore is most well known for it's in-game avatar/asset creators, a unique feature which would animate any creation the player made via procedural animation (where applicable); creations would be shared to other player's games (known as 'pollinating') if uploaded to the games online servers.
In-Yogiverse[]
- Sips revisited this classic in August 2013, digging into his CDs to find this gem. He began the series in An Evening With Sips and continued soon after to make a series.
- Spiff has also released a few Spore let's plays along the lines of his "perfectly balanced" gaming video styles.
