Templar Adaephon is the uncle of Knight Peculier and Isabel Peculier. He wears armour and carries a spear. He fought in the Sand War against the Evil Under the Sands, and joined the Templars, founded by Karpath, after the war. He seems to be the last of the Templars, as he is the only person living in Verigan's Hold. He is the author of The Tale of the Sands. He is the uncle of Knight Peculier on his father's side. He was very close to Karpath Antioch, which has led some viewers to conclude that Karpath was Adaephon's brother and Knight Peculier's father, K. Peculier. This was eventually proven correct in Episode 25, when Karpath went to hunt the Evil Under the Sands, which had not yet transformed Israphel into its champion, he sent his children first to Granny Bacon, and later to Adaephon and the other Templars to raise.

Templar Adaephon was last seen in Episode 16, where he waits at Verigan's Hold for the heroes to bring him the pieces of Karpath's Map.

The Templar reappears in Episode 36: The Last Letter, with a high fever, causing hallucinations. He was revived when a Splash Potion of Healing and a Bucket Water was used on him.

Adaephon's voice seems to resemble that of Prof. Grizwald. Simon used this voice after Lewis said he should sound "Old and wise".
