The Troubled Lands is a region created for the Lightfall campaign of the Dungeons & Dragons series, High Rollers D&D. It is visited in the series from Sessions 32 to 39.

DescriptionEdit

The Troubled Lands is a frontier region that spans across the northern region of the continent of Arrak. It borders Bresseras to the west and the Dawn Republic to the south, all demarcated by the Grasping Peaks mountain range. Its northern and western edge border the seas.

There are three known active factions operating within the region: Council of Elves, Frost Giants and Powder Beards

Demographics & CultureEdit

So far, the region east of the mountain range that branches through the centre of the region is known to be sparsely populated by various races. Humans settled in independent frontier towns. Elves are known to reside within the compound of the Spire of Winter. The frost giants inhabit the northern peninsular. A dwarven faction known as the Powder Beards manages several mining facilities throughout the region.

The population distribution west of the mountain range branch is unknown.

HallowEdit

Hallow is a frontier town in the Troubled Lands, located a few hours away from the Spire of Winter. Macklin is the head sheriff of the town. The town made an appearance in Session 33, where several of the townsfolk initially blamed the Winter Spire for killing their people.

Monastery of BahamutEdit

Spire of WinterEdit

Spire of Winter is one of the three known elven spires that returned to the material plane. The other two spires are Spire of the Moon and Spire of Eternal Autumn. The spire was attacked by the archfeys during their transition from Feywild to Arrak.

The spire appeared in Session 32 to 33, in which the adventurers visited the spire.
